Pathways to Tomorrow - Youth Action Plan Launch

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the new Youth Action Plan Koorlangka Bidi on 8 October 2024.

Over 2,200 young people contributed to the development of this Youth Action Plan which will guide efforts to support them to thrive over the next three years.

If you’re aged 10 – 25 years, we want YOU to be part of the action! Join the Minister for Youth, State Government representatives and other young people from across the State to celebrate!

The launch will showcase the many ways that the Youth Action Plan has been shaped by young people and will feature the six focus areas of the Plan:

Amplifying young voices, climate action, achieving goals, cost of living, supporting wellbeing, embracing diversity and inclusion.

Come along to hear what we are doing next to improve outcomes for young people across the State, and to continue the conversation!

The event is FREE to attend, and will include:

·       live performances from award-winning Perth musician Indigo Ellis, and the young Corroboree for Life dancers

·       an opportunity to chat directly with the Government agencies who are driving the actions – ask questions, and hear what is planned to improve outcomes for you 

·       speeches by Hannah Beazley, Minister for Youth and Kate Kirwin, 2024 WA Young Australian of the year, founder and CEO of She Codes and women in STEM advocate

·       a chance to network and meet other young people through a collaborative artwork, a quiz, speed friending and giant games (plus quiet activities and spaces, if interactive games are not your preference).

·       the chance to win some fantastic giveaways including vouchers to attend a barista course, coding classes and tickets to a pasta-making class at Perth City Farm

·       delicious food and drinks, and much more!

Come and discover what young people in WA had to say and about the State Government’s next steps, meet new people, make new friends and build valuable connections!
